Questions
What is the PAN card photo size?
Protean (NSDL) asks for a colour JPEG at 200 dpi: 3.5×2.5 cm and up to 20 KB in its DSC instructions, or up to 50 KB in e-Sign mode. We make a 197×276 px JPG under 20 KB, which meets both.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Face detection and background removal run in your browser. Your photo stays on your device.
Will it be accepted?
We follow the published size and framing rules, but acceptance also depends on light, expression, glasses and how recent the photo is. Always check the current official rules before you apply.
