Which videos work?
Anything your browser can play: MP4 (H.264), WebM and most MOV files from phones. If a video will not open, it uses a codec this browser cannot decode.
How do I make the GIF smaller?
Use a shorter clip, a smaller width or fewer frames a second. You can also run the result through Compress GIF.
Is the sound kept?
No. GIF is a picture format and has no sound.
Do you upload my files?
No. The tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device, and it still works with Wi-Fi turned off.
