Questions

Is this the same as developing the RAW in Lightroom?

No. Cameras save a full-size JPEG inside most RAW files, with their own colour and sharpening. We extract that, which is quick and looks like the camera JPEG. For your own exposure or white balance edits, use a RAW editor.

Which RAW files work?

Most: DNG, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF and SRW. Some files (for example some phone DNGs) hold only a small preview; then you get a message instead of a tiny JPG.

Do you upload my files?

No. The tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device, and it still works with Wi-Fi turned off.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.
