Questions

Is this an official check?

No. It is a guide based on what software can measure. Passport and exam officers also look at things like glasses glare, hair over the eyes and how recent the photo is.

What does it check?

That there is one face; the head size and position against the rule; head tilt and turn; eyes open; mouth closed and a neutral expression; a plain, light background; even lighting; sharpness; and enough pixels.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Face landmarks are found by MediaPipe running in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.

My photo failed. What now?

Retake it facing a window, against a plain white wall, with the camera at eye level. Then use the passport photo maker to size and centre it, or the exam tool for the KB and pixels.
